a touch of something

ive just realised
that most of the time
you cant choose who
you fall in love with
whether that person in particular
is unattached or oherwise
whether that person is heaven sent
or hell incarnate on earth
minor complications(for lack of a better word) arise
when the person whom
you have fallen in love with
is currently attached
to someone else.
major complications arise
when you choose to believe
that as long as that person is
not in a legally binding situation (read m a r r i e d)
all's fair in love and war
and then, well..
sometimes people are tempted
hearts are broken
trust is gone
love is lost
for everyone.

if only every story had a happy ending.
