An ideal situation.
she was to choose between 3.
1) a rich & handsome man
2) a man who loves her more than anything
( hereby assuming she doesnt love him as much if she does love at all)
3) a man whom she loves more than anything
( hence assuming he doesnt love her much if at all )
it was seemingly obvious.. it was to be option 3... no doubt about it..
as option 1 didnt have a chance to begin with..
but the more she thought about it the more it didnt feel r i g h t...
the general consensus was option 2 but..
she didnt think she could live with someone whom she didnt particularly have a deep affection for..
then the herione in her books had this habit of refusing all offers or proposals of sorts from the object of affection with the idea that he doesnt l o v e her... hence option 3 is out .. indefinitely..
and that made her think, ponder, wonder, wool-gather..
" ..no self-respecting woman can love for long without being loved in return ..~ VA "
and came to the conclusion that she wouldnt want any of the above..
s h e would want to love and be loved in return in the same measure.
an ideal situation.
but of course the choice was posed to her with the assumption that the ideal situation is out of reach, unattainable.
and the thought, the hope, the wishfullness came ... and as she was expecting it, she allowed it to float around a lil before banishing it.. but not before feeling the lil prick of hurt, of dissapointment, of r e g r e t..
"would she ever have that ideal situation?"
