knowing how this story will turn out
knowing how this story will end
whatever happens in the middle
whatever happens as i turn each page
is of little significance
is of little worth
because the ending will still be unchanged

i know every situation and every circumstance has its consequences
but this is one story in which nothing can change the ending
there might be a few twists and unexpected turns
but indefinitely the ending will be the same.
